Oven Roasted Broccoli w Parmesan, Cilantro, Garlic and Lemon

Dedicated to those of you who suffered through school lunch programs in the U.S. lol!

Remember school lunch?  Whenever they had broccoli they would smother it with a yellow, gooey cheese sauce, which only covered up the fact that the broccoli wasn’t really that fresh in the first place.  Well while that might have gone down our throats with a liquid ease and even had a hint of the nacho cheese you ate at the matinee. It doesn’t come CLOSE to this grown-up, revised, doper edition of broccoli and cheese :) Easy & Yumm!

Oven Roasted Broccoli w Parmesan, Cilantro, Garlic and Lemon

  • 2 Crowns Broccoli
  • 1 Lemon Zested and Juiced
  • 4 Garlic Cloves grated
  • 1/2 bunch Cilantro (finely chopped)
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese + a little more to sprinkle
  • Olive Oil to drizzle
  • Salt and Pepper
  1. Cut heads of broccoli and discard stalks (or save for another dish but not this one:)
  2. Place broccoli heads in medium bowl and add all ingredients. Combine well with hands making sure to coat broccoli with all flavors and Marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Line a cookie sheet with foil and grease with olive oil. Spread broccoli evenly on cookie sheet including marinade.
  4. Place on top rack.  Broil on LOW for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Begin watching to make sure it doesn’t burn by the 10 minute mark
  6. Remove and sprinkle with a little more grated Parmesan cheese.  Serve Immediately! Enjoy :) and tell us how it was!
